First Plaque on Polish Town's Synagogue since Holocaust (Israel National News)

(IsraelNN.com) A memorial plaque has been placed on a Kanczuga, Poland building that served as a synagogue before World War II. The decision to place the plaque on the building was made after Shavei Israeli chairman Michael Freund asked Kanczuga Mayor Jack Solek to erect the memorial following a ceremony last May marking the restoration of Siedlezcka's old Jewish cemetery, which Freund financed.
