Protect against West Nile virus (The Lafayette Daily Advertiser)

In addition to widespread and costly damage, Hurricane Gustav brought heavy rains that heightened the possibility of an onslaught of West Nile Virus. Mosquitoes, carriers of the disease, will breed rapidly in water left standing by the storm. It is urgent that residents eliminate all possible breeding places.
